According to a survey of tenants by Knight Frank the proportion of households living in privately rented homes has doubled in the last ten years or so. This number is predicted to grow even further in the near future with the Knight Frank forecast showing that by the end of 2021 nearly one in four households will be living in properties owned by private landlords. That’s around 5.79 million households in 2021 compared to around 5 million today.

Coventry City may be on their way to Wembley but their colours have already been on display at Buckingham Palace when a leading business figure was awarded an MBE. David Shortland, who runs several property firms in the city, sported a Coventry City tie as he was presented his MBE by Prince Charles. He founded estate agents Shortland Horne in 1995 followed by commercial property agents Shortland Penn + Moore, and land development firm Bluemark. David was awarded his MBE for his longstanding committment and contribution to the regneration of Coventry and Warwickshire.
