I shortlisted a selection of estate agents in Coventry to list my property. I was searching for an agent who took the time to listen to my needs, give a realistic valuation based on evidence and a marketing strategy that would ensure a sale and of course a fair fee. Throughout the selected estate agents, I was impressed by the Valuer - Aaron, representing Shortland Horne. He ticked all the boxes that I was looking for and gave me confidence to instruct them as my agent. The sales team generated multiple viewings with buyers in proceedable positions and conducted the viewings. The negotiations with my sale was handled well. My sale collapsed for reasons out of my control and Shortland Horne reactivated a sale with a new buyer very quickly. The after sales is the most significant part in any property sale. The service here was incredible. I was dealing with Linda Collins. Linda is very approachable and carried the sale smoothly to completion (during this pandemic!). Linda was clear, concise and informative. She was sympathetic when I lost my initial sale and dealt with the re-negations on my second sale skilfully with a happy outcome. She dealt with all Solicitors involved, Financial Advisors and Surveyors to keep the sale together and gave me regular updates. Her 30+ years of experience and passion really shone through. Fantastic Service!! We worked with Shortland Horne to sell my mum\'s property and to purchase a retirement apartment. The selling team were excellent, everything was done as stated and at agreed times. The advice we received in relation to the sale was timely and well received. The team were proactive and responded promptly to all enquiries. Their communication was excellent. The purchase of the retirement property was handled by Linda Collins, she was amazing!! Linda went above and beyond to ensure that both the sale and purchase went through before Christmas to meet with my mum\'s needs, undertaking much of the activity expected of the solicitors! My initial engagement with Shortland and Horne was very good and they were very helpful in helping me understand the value of my house and doing all the marketing to put it on the market. As the market was buoyant at the time we quickly found a buyer, but didn\'t go at all to plan. The buyer strung us along and was clearly out to get a big reduction on asking price by demanding for discounts close to the deadline for the stamp duty holiday. I do feel that Shortland and Horne could have been more proactive and use their expertise to \"smoke out\" the bad buyer earlier and save a lot of stress before letting it get as far as it did which is why I have given them 4 stars. However, once we put the house on the market again for a reduced price we found another buyer and the sale went through very smoothly.

We can not rate Shortland Horne enough for all the efforts and all they have done for us - Fantastic service from all the team! I went with SH to see my property and although the original evaluation was slightly overpriced, the service itself was great. Quick to arrange the listing and any viewings. All handled very safely with the covid restrictions that were in place at the time too. Linda in particular is a great asset to SH. She was so helpful and patient and kept me well informed and updated with any progress or changes. Much more so than my actual solicitor, so I was very grateful for the service i received.

We have recently purchased our dream home with Shortland and Horne. Andrew Griffin made the initial process painless and really assisted us with the negotiation phase. When we were passed onto the after sales team we were allocated Samantha Bailey. Wow, what a star sam turned out to be. I’m no novice when it comes to buying houses as I have a substantial buy to let portfolio. But this purchase had some real issues involving building regulations and even a burst water pipe during the buying phase. Even though I was over 100 miles away they gave me feedback after every viewing, went especially to the house to turn up the heating in the winter months and even gave me regular electric and gas meter readings. Shortland Horne staff are brilliant. They are friendly and so helpful. Dan showed us round the house on the times we wanted to go round nothing was a problem for him even when I just wanted to pop round to check something out. He even popped round to see if we were settling in. From the office side I dealt with Linda, wow I owe her so much she was always at the end of the phone when I was trying to chase things up she went above and beyond her job.
